Hi Shuri,
we've been to several opera performances in europe, [as opposed to the UK!] and the locals do tend to dress up, as did we. but much worse than any jeans or other informal wear was the behaviour of some patrons who upped and left in droves before the end of the curtain calls.
they can't all have had to catch the last bus.
that was MUCH worse than any sartorital slackness.

an elegant pair of black pants, a black tank, and a dressy jacket or shawl take me everywhere. Pair with a comfie but sexy pair of black sandals, pretty earrings, and a small evening purse. Very packable, but appropriate for any evening occasion.


I meant sneakers, of course...sporting shoes
