What to wear

We are going to Vienna and Italy this summer. We have only plans to see the Vienna Boys Choir. Do we need to dress up for this? We are hoping to take jeans/slacks and shorts....no dressup clothes. Is this OK?

Hi
You might get more answers if you post again with more of your question in the Title..like What to wear to hear the Vienna Boys Choir.

I would dress up a little.

Austria tends to be somewhat more formal in dress. Shorts/tees would definitely not make it for a concert. And to me - jeans are too hot/heavy for the summer. Why not just slacks or skirt and a decent shirt/top. No need for suit or fancy dress.

I would definately recommend not wearing shorts or jeans....WAY too casual for this. I don't think a jacket/tie are necessary, but business casual would definately be appropriate.

Jeez, the Vienna Choir Boys put an amazing amount of work into their concerts; how about putting a small amount of effort into looking nice for them?

Jeans? I don't think so. Shorts, absolutely not. Slacks? Well, yes, if they're classy and paired with a nice blouse, shoes, and jacket.

Give back what you're getting. Show some class.

This is the third of your three posts with the same question. Why?

WK--They've made three threads as a result of suggestions by fodorites to make the title more specific.
