Europe - Safe & Desirable Cities in Germany
Reposted with correct title. Apologies.
I am exploring the world of house/pet sitting. I am interested in Germany and other countries, but will post in each designated area of the site.
Can you tell me which cities in Germany are the safest/nicest?
Things I am considering are:
Safety
Proximity to public transport
Proximity to restaurants, shopping
Ambiance
Noise - prefer quiet
If you live in Germany or have traveled extensively there, I would really appreciate your input.
Thank you in advance!

Every city in Germany IME fits your criteria, assuming you are not of Turkish ethnic extraction - if so skinheads are prevalent in some old East German cities, like Cotbus, and may cause problems perhaps but unlikely if you watch your step

It seems that you're asking for a lot but ofering very little.
Why would strangers be willing to allow youto live in their houses/take are of their pets - esp if yuo're a stranger to the area yourself?
Unless you have some training, experience and a lot of checkable references I can't imagine anyone would just turn their house over to a complete stranger. How do they know there would be anything left when they got back?

ny_traveler -
There are numerous companies that offer the service of connecting house sitters and people in need of a sitter. FYI - I have house sat for numerous people in the U.S. and I have references. If you do not have any information about the posted question, don't bother answering.
Thanks.

There may also be implications in terms of immigration: if you're not an EU citizen, you'd be expected to support yourself from your own resources. If you expect to support yourself from payment for house-sitting, they might see that as employment, and expect you to have applied for a work permit.
