Escape to Cinque Terre...

We would like to spend 3-4 nights either beginning June 7 or May 26 to explore Cinque Terre. We would enjoy a quiet/quaint accommodation with an Italian Flair, ocean view and convenient access to all towns. We were thinking about Vernazza as our base location. Would anyone have any recommendations for lodging, dining or other cities for a romantic time away?

I would look at Manarola---Vernazza is a zoo that time of year.

There are quite a few sites to check for apartments in Vernaazza/Manarola. I used homelidays.co.uk when I booked but there's also VRBO.com, airbnb.com... that's what I would do. Also, I would opt to go earlier (may) than june, as bobthenavigator is right, it gets quite busy in June.

Vernazza for dinner (at Belforte, on the terrace overlooking the sea) and stay in Manarola - another vote for La Torretta.

We will be staying in Vernazza from June 2nd until June 5th. Will it be terribly crowded at this time? I was hoping we would be going early enough to avoid the crowds.

We are planning to stay at Da Martina.

Laurie well yes it is busy anytime in June, but early June will certainly be less busy than late June or July. However, don't stress about that, the trip is going to be great! I think the point was that the earlier you can go, if you have an option, the better! ;-)
