Can someone tell me if I have enough time between connection. Paris/Rome

On the flight details it says:
Arrive in Paris at 6:05 am
Terminal AEROGARE 2 TERMINAL F
Depart 7:00 am
AEROGARE 2
TERMINAL F
Does it mean that I stay in the same location in the airport?
And upon arrival at Rome, there is supposed to be a chauffeur waiting to drive me to the hotel. Do they usually also speak English or French?

Assuming it is AF all the way thru, the connection is OK since that is how it is sold by AF. Airlines don't construct connections that you shouldn't book. If the first flight is late, they will put you on the next flight (again assuming all is on 1 ticket/1 airline).

I've managed to make this exact connection in the past, but it is a bit tight. The walk shouldn't be too far.

As Odin said, there are a number of flights per day so if you miss it (as we did going to Venice one year) you can take the next flight. No sweat. Just go to the AF cusomter service center and they speak very good English, as do most of the gate agents.

I would not count on the driver speaking anything but Italian, unless you request a person who is bilingual. He or she might have minimal skills in English or French but you cannot depend on this..

You will probably make your connection. But, know what you will do if you don't.

Also, regardless of what's printed on your flight itinerary, or even on your boarding pass, double check the gate number for your connecting flight as soon as you find a board in the airport. Departure gates change all the time, and often at the last minute.

Odin...one would think so - but it can turn into a nightmare at times...I like more then 60 minutes now between flights.

With a so short connection time, I would be worry about the luggage.

Hi W,

Assuming that you are coming from the US,

Your plane might land somewhere out in Roissy and you will have to wait for a shuttle bus to take you to the terminal.

You will have to go through passport control.

You will have to go through security.

Your baggage has to be transferred.

Some folks have said that they easily made 0:45 hr connections.

Most reports have been of missed connections with less than 1:30 hr.

I suggest that you be prepared to miss your plane.

You will be put on the next available flight.

It doesn't matter whether your driver in Rome speaks English, French or Urdu.

He/she should have a sign with your name on it.

You should have written down your name, your hotel and its address to give to the driver.

Do you know where you are to meet your driver and the name of the service?

Where are you flying from? That would determine if you need to go through passport control and security or just security.

2F has two peninsulas - 2F2 is for non-Schengen flights and 2F1 is for Schengen flights. Your flight to Rome will depart from 2F1 but we need more info on where the inbound flight is coming from.

even if you do make the connection, there is a fair chance your luggage won't. But AF will sort things out and get you and your bags to Rome one way or the other. There is nothing you can do change things and "it is what it is" (I HATE that phrase - but in this case it fits)

I neglected to note in my post that we always travel to Europe with only carry-on baggage, so yes....the luggage issue could be a problem. But, as stated by others AF will eventually get your bags to your destination. You might want to pack a change of clothes and some toiletries in your carry-on in case of that scenario.

If you go to the CDG website there is a place to plug in your flight info and a map will come up to show you the connecting route. It doesn't state passport control or whether or not your plane lands on the tarmac w/a shuttle.
