Emperor's Gate Apartments London

Has anyone stayed at the Emperor's Gate Apartments in London? I am thinking of staying there. We are family of 5 (2 adults 3 teenagers). I haven't been able to find any reviews on the place from an unbiased source.

Where are these located. I have stayed in the Mansion apts on Earls Court Road and they were wonderful. I'm looking to stay there again this fall, but eh agent I used is no longer available. How did you find these apts?

Shandy: We stayed at 8 Knaresborough Place (which is a sister property of Emperor's Gate) in January of this year. The location is great and the apartments have a kitchenette. They are not luxury apartments. They are clean and homey. There's a washer and a dryer in the basement. Free internet use. The owner-manager, Robert Arnold, is a delightful gent, very friendly and helpful. I would stay there again. We paid 69 pounds for a studio apartment but I'm sure it's a bit more in the summer.

If you have any questions please let me know.

Earls Court station is near, so central London is twenty minutes from the appartments by underground. More apartments, such as those by Trafalgar Square, let you pop home at midday and otherwise find much of London very near you.

Ben's info about Earls Court applies to vstanton's post about the Mansion apts.

The Emperors Gate apts you are asking about are much nearer to the Gloucester Rd station and in a really nice area of South Kensington.

Thanks for the info guys. I have now made a booking for the apartment. Robert rang me last night to confirm the booking and we spoke for nearly half an hour on the phone (not bad England to Australia) and sounded really nice. For vstanton their web site is www.apartment-hotels.com or e-mail [email protected].
