I sent the editors an e-mail several hours ago. Unfortunately being a Sunday who knows how long it will take for them to nuke this sleazy B*****d

Until then, this has essentially become a St Petersburg forum since our "friend" has shoved everything else down to page 2.

Hi, Gang, I posted a post to the fodor's police. I don't see any of them now. I think Janis counted 18 of them? I feel sorry for the people that were just asking questions and got caught up in that mess.

Regards, Joan

I was wondering what this was about until I noticed the large number of St. Petersburg posts. I lost count at 33, and there were still I didn't even bother to open. Hope this gets resolved quickly for those folks who genuinely want info!

he was posting about 1 a minute for a while there, so 18 was very early on. They are still there - up to 40 now.

I emailed several of the threads to the editor's..hopefully even though it is Sunday one of the editor's will take notice and delete the advertisements. Annoying to put it midly.

Posting a complaint doesn't work.

Just email a request to editors@fodors,com. - and they'take care of it as soon as someone sees it.

nytraveler: maybe we just want to vent - several of us HAVE e-mailed the editors since these posts first appeared. But it looks like nobody is home - probably until tomorrow a.m. -
