Any guidebook will suggest the main sights within the old town which is doable in one or 2 days. Additionally you can take a ferry to Cavtat to get a different perspective (a park like island just off shore).

Thanks so much.
sfmaster, if you have to decide between Cavtat or Lokrum, which one you choose?
Abram, where I can optain the audio guide? Inside the old town?
Thanks again.

Sfmaster,

Note: Cavtat is not an island. It is a small town down the coast from Dubrovnik, to the South. Well worth visiting IMO, but with only two days time constraints might make the trip iffy.

When you walk up the stairs to buy your tickets, you get the audioguide at the same time.

Sorry I meant Lokrum - I didn't go to Cavtat.

I also liked the audio guide a lot for the walls.

You bet, the audio guide for the walls is a must. Not only are they informative, but they give you a chance to rest. After climbing some of those many flights of stairs you can pause at a scenic spot, and hand the guide back and forth pretending to listen while you desperately try to get your breath back.

At least that worked for old farts like us.
