Dublin accommodations

our walking trip is booked for June 3 and after 8 days walking and touring, with the start point being Ennis, we will train to Dublin for 2nights. We are looking for a ‘quaint’ place and we have looked at Aberdeen Lodge - advertised as 7 min to central Dublin by Dart or taxi 15-20 euros. We are wondering whether we should forego ‘quaint’ for location and find a spot near the central area. My relatives said they stayed at Premier Suites which wasn’t at all quaint but was perfect in terms of location for everything. We would love some advice!

I’m looking at the Morgan or the Brooks, does anyone have comments about these hotels?

I will be in Ireland this summer and chose The Brooks. It received good reviews. I like the location, close enough to the Temple Bar but far enough not to be kept awake by its patrons. Also has parking for my rental car.

The Brooks: Good location and lots of restaurants within walking distance, close to Grafton Street.

Aberdeen Lodge: its out in Sandymount - suburbia. Don't consider it! It is at least 35 minutes to Grafton street, not seven minutes.

I am a Dublin native!
