Okay, Motril is to the east of the nearest port of call for cruise ships. How about a tour from Malaga to Granada? You have several options, including taking a taxi, but for a guided tour, I recommend checking out AiutoSol (www.autosol.es), Malaga Transfers Premier (www.limousines-premier.co.uk) or even AutoVenture (www.autoventure.com/shorex/spain.html).
As already noted, you might want to consider going with what the tour company is offering.

Doesn't the cruise line provide for the trip to Grenada

The cruise line could very well provide a trip to Grenada as it is an island country in the Caribbean. Granada, however, is located in Spain.
For some reson people often misspell Granada and Ronda (which they give as Help me, Rhonda.)

yes, but there's an excellent bus service from the square drops you right outside the ticket office/entrance to the Alhambra.
