Driver to Alhambra from Granada

We will be on a cruise and would like a private car to take us to the Alhambra from Granada. Any suggestions?

hi jax -

are you sure that you've got this right?

the alhambra is IN Granada - it's about a 10 minute walk or 5 minute bus/taxi ride from the centre of the town.

where is the cruise port that you are putting in to?

That "walk" from the center of town is all up a somewhat steep hill.

OK..let's try this. Can anyone suggest a driver/tour company from Motril to Granada? There will be 6 adults.

Doesn't the cruise line provide for the trip to Grenada and the tickets for the Alhamba ?? A shore excursion. I'd be very surprised if it didn't.

Okay, Motril is to the east of the nearest port of call for cruise ships. How about a tour from Malaga to Granada? You have several options, including taking a taxi, but for a guided tour, I recommend checking out AiutoSol (www.autosol.es), Malaga Transfers Premier (www.limousines-premier.co.uk) or even AutoVenture (www.autoventure.com/shorex/spain.html).

As already noted, you might want to consider going with what the tour company is offering.

____

The cruise line could very well provide a trip to Grenada as it is an island country in the Caribbean. Granada, however, is located in Spain.

For some reson people often misspell Granada and Ronda (which they give as Help me, Rhonda.)

Take the tour from your cruise line. It is the only guaranteed way of returning to the ship before it sails.

Bedar Jun 12th, 2012 01:43 AM

Yes, Adu. It is spelled Granada, and it is spelled Alhambra. Typing with an iPad is a real pain.

yes, but there's an excellent bus service from the square drops you right outside the ticket office/entrance to the Alhambra.

jaxhc - where is your cruise port and why don't you want to take the organised excurson?
