How could I miss this hilarious topic before! Yes, sure it is not advisable to travel in Spain as a lone woman. Please, don´t feed Bernice that BS, she might even believe you.

you may find you have more attention from the local men if you are blond. Apparently amongst Spanish men having a blond European girlfriend is a "status symbol" If you're driving on remote roads please be aware of the risk of bandit attacks...bandits are know to inhabit the hills of inland Andalusia... if someone tries to flag you down keep driving!
