Dover to Paris??

Dover to Paris??
Can anyone suggest the easiest and fastest way to get from Dover to Paris? Does the Chunnel train pick-up passengers in Dover? Would like to try it but we don't want to backtrack to London. <BR> <BR>Thanks for any help you can give us.

There is a Eurostar terminal at Ashford which is about 20 miles from Dover. There is probably frequent public transportation from Dover to Ashford. <BR> <BR>Another option is to take the ferry from Dover to Calais and the train to Paris.

The best deals require 14 or more days advance purchase, so you will pay much more if you wait until you are there. Last minute tickets will really cost you.

Hi Janice, <BR>Do you know the web site that I can book it in advance? I've tried the rail Europe site and they don't seem to have an advance booking rate. <BR> <BR>Thanks for all your help!!

If you don't have tons of luggage, you can hitch a lift from any of the car passengers. Also, I've heard rumors of £1 day return trips, just don't use the return portion.

I think the one pound day return trips from Dover are to Calais, and it may be that passengers with bags are refuysed. <BR> <BR>Ben Haines, London
