Dover to Paris??
 

Can anyone suggest the easiest and fastest way to get from Dover to Paris? Does the Chunnel train pick-up passengers in Dover? Would like to try it but we don't want to backtrack to London. <BR> <BR>Thanks for any help you can give us.

There is a Eurostar terminal at Ashford which is about 20 miles from Dover. There is probably frequent public transportation from Dover to Ashford. <BR> <BR>Another option is to take the ferry from Dover to Calais and the train to Paris.

Could you also tell me if it is less expensive to book over the internet or directly when we get there? <BR> <BR>Thanks Again!!

The best deals require 14 or more days advance purchase, so you will pay much more if you wait until you are there. Last minute tickets will really cost you.

If you don't have tons of luggage, you can hitch a lift from any of the car passengers. Also, I've heard rumors of £1 day return trips, just don't use the return portion.
