Dordogne Stay - help me choose between some rentals
My mother and I will be staying in the Dordogne for 5 nights next week. I have narrowed down a list of vacation rentals and would love some feedback on them. Also if you have any ideas or favorites that fit the unique/interesting/fun category (I'm not too interested in luxury), I would love to hear them. I am trying to keep my budget under 100 euros a night. Thanks so much!

Next week? I'll type quickly.
Your first two seem to be houses constructed on private property that the owner has somehow turned into a "village". They are beautiful but that sounds creepy to me.
The Sarlat villa is stated to be in Upper Sarlat - whatever that is - and is 4 km to town by their own reckoning.
The rest are in Domme or Cenac, a smaller town just southwest of it.
Domme is terrific, but Sarlat would be my choice to stay. That being said, I would not stay 4 km from the centre of Sarlat, nor would I stay in Cenac, with nicer properties available in Domme proper.
So, giving what you are considering, I would take whichever of the Domme properties strikes your fancy. I t reallt doesn't matter where you stay in Domme, but away from the main streets would be a little quieter.

What's wrong with Cenac - we've stayed close to there for 8 weeks, and are returning for 2 more in June. Much less touristy than Domme, and easier to get in & out. Nice grocery, several bakeries, boutcheries/chicken rotisseries, a weekly market (Tues - maybe only in summer), and several ATMs. Even a laundry.

I would also pick one of the ones in Domme. Those houses that are in "villages" also creep me out. That last one in Domme, though, appears to be on or near the main square from what I can see, so I wouldn't choose that one. I assume you'll have a car.
Next week, and all these properties are still available?

Thanks everyone -- I'll stick to Domme and Cenac (my heart was leaning towards Domme anyway
) Yes -- these are still available -- luckily, it must be the time of the year. This trip was rather sprung on me so everything I'm doing is last minute!!!
Thanks again -- I think I have all the info on this that I need. BTW - you guys are the greatest -- I have started recommending these forums as the go to place for travel advice!!
