Dordogne pictures, which site is better?
For access and viewing, could Fodorites tell me which site is better and why? The quality of the photos should be the same. Thanks.

Nice photos!
I agree with StCirq that the first site was better because you don't need the signin. But if there is a way to view the thumbnails separately without the slideshow, I couldn't find it. And I don't like being forced to view a slideshow, I'd rather click on the thumbnails I like. May I recommend another option altogether - pbase. I think it's the best photo website out there - I've been a customer for almost 2 years.

My standard site is Photoworks, because it is the only processor that still will give me slides, negatives and web site posting from the print film that I submit; I am still sticking to slides for any showing in my house. So I am glad to hear that the presentation is acceptable. The fact of the matter is that the manipulation by the owner of the photos is more difficult than on Ofoto, and access to the site itself and the albums is much slower than on Ofoto. But I'll live with it. It's interesting that Ofoto images appeared sharper to some viewers since they only are copies of what was posted originally on Photoworks.
I use a Canon EOS with its standard lens and a 28-210mm Tamron zoom. I still regret my old Konica, but the sealers rotted away and they could not be replaced. Moreover, mercury batteries were no longer sold. But it was mechanical and worked even when the batteries died.

Michael, my eye isn't trained enough to notice any discernable difference between the two, though I thought the photoworks was quicker and more user-friendly. That area of France looks so incredibly beautiful and you have a good eye for capturing it.
