Bordeaux and Southwest France pictures
Here are pictures from Bordeaux that some of you may have already seen on Ofoto, and of southwestern France. I am including the Dordogne, Bordeaux etc. trip report because of its Bordeaux section. The organization of my photos does not correspond to the organization of my trip reports at all times.

I am just trying to rationalize my posting by adding the Dordogne pitcures:

Those are just beautiful, Michael, and making me very homesick! Are the ones dated January 2005 really photos you TOOK in January? I've never been in the Dordogne in January, but am finding it hard to believe that sunflowers bloom there then.
Anyway, lovely lovely photos. Thank you!

StCirq,
Photoworks unfortunately insists on dating the photographs as of the date of development. I never go to the Dordogne in the winter because my house has lost all its ceiling insulation and the heating system stopped working a long time ago.

Thanks, Michael:
I was really wondering if I was missing out on some botanical phenomena by not going in winter.
My house doesn't have central heating, either, though I'm hoping to begin some major renovations next year. Ceiling insulation? They have that in the Dordogne? Who knew?

StCirq,
the house is the anti-thesis of a typical Dordogne structure. I've been claiming that it should be declared a historical monument because it is one of a kind and would no longer be permitted in the village where it is located.

No photographs available on the web. It was designed and built for my parents by a young architect in 1971. It was his second and last house. You'll just have to imagine a low-cost California flat-roof house out of plywood.
