Pictures from our Dordogne trip

Hi all, just thought I'd share our pics for anyone traveling to the area soon. We were there April 27 to May 7, plus a day in Versailles at the end before we flew out of Orly. We drove from Orly to Dordogne both ways.

Let me know if you have any questions!

The photos are just superb, Mike and Anna. Thanks for sharing. (I particularly like the peacock on the stone step. what a lucky shot.)

Great pix. We leave May 30 and I can't wait. This has really gotten me in the Dordogne frame of mind. Could you please provide more specifics about your gite. How did you book? Is there a website? Can you share price info? Thanks.

Those are wonderful photos. We visited some of those places around the same time you did.
I can't believe I have been living here in the southwest for 10 years now, and had never been to the Dordogne region.
It's only because of all the enthusiastic reviews over here that we decided to just go and visit for a few days. I don't regret it at all.

Wow thanks everyone! For those who asked about the gite, the site is http://beynacvacation.com/MontJoie/Welcome.html. Highly recommended! We paid 1140 euros for the week this time of year. The vrbo listing which is on the home page lists the prices for the rest of the year.

It wasn't terrible but it helped that we slept about 4 hrs each on the plane. Without that, I'm not sure how we would have done. Make sure to have plenty of snacks and water to keep the energy up because a lot of it was autoroute for long stretches. Good luck!
