does capital one charge card still not charge a fee for foreign transactions?

I hadn't thought about whether I'd punch in checking or savings if I used my Cap One MM ATM card, that's a good point. I guess I would have thought of it as savings, as it really is (even though they do mail you those checks). I had also heard that maybe you couldn't use that ATM card in Europe due to it not being a checking account, though, so would be good to learn that it works. I don't think a test in the US would prove it would work in Europe, though, as you do have a choice in the US.

The question about conversion fees on Capital One cards was posed some time ago. I just returned from France where I used both my Capital One credit card and my Direct Banking card to withdraw money from ATMs. No conversion fee was charged on either. Boots
