Does anyone remember seeing a post about a convent in Orvieto that serves lunch/dinner------ I can't find it!

If anyone does remember this ---I would appreciate a reply. I've done a such to no avail.

The convent is just off the piazza del Duomo, where one can stay for 25 euros per night, however, the lunch and dinner arrangement is only for groups and by special request. I don't have the phone number of the convent to hand, but if you wish to e-mail me, I will get it to you. You need to speak to Padre Franco. Julie

Deede In the basment of the Rectory for the Duomo a building that is across from the Duomo to the right of the Main doors a towards the botton of the hill that leads to the bus stop . They have cafeteria like foodservice they serve two or three entres and a pasta and salad wine and bread very inexpensive a lot of the tour bus guides eat there they know the cheap places . they are their weekly . I ate there and is was nice home cooking give it a try its open to the public !

Deede, The Istituto Santissimo Salvatore in Orvieto phone: 0763<BR>342 910 has breakfast included in their basic price, and has half and full board available upon request. Hope this helps. Ken Lansing
