Does anyone else hate Ryanair

Has anyone else had their holiday plans totally destroyed by the decision of Ryanair not to honour tickets bought for Buzz Airline. Has anyone any suggestions how we can make them pay compensation for lost deposits on hotels, hire cars etc.

Okay, I'm a little confused as usual. What's the connection between Ryanair and Buzz Airlines?

Just because RyanAir agreed in principle to purchase Buzz from KLM, it does not mean they will honor their tickets NOW. So I'm not sure why you're upset at RyanAir. The sale won't even happen till April 1.
Besides, these airlines are called 'budget' airlines for a reason. They do not have interline agreements. That means if your flight is cancelled, you are stuck till the next one on that airline only, not any other one. That is what you should expect when buying a ticket on one of the budget airlines.

So why do you expect compansation from RyanAir?

I agree with the previous poster.
As I understand it Buzz was making a big loss so KLM decided to sell it off at a knockdown price to Ryanair from 1st April. Val should be asking for compensation either from Buzz or KLM not Ryanair.
Living in Scotland I fully support airlines like Ryanair and EasyJet as we can now travel cheaply and quickly to European destinations which we could never do when airlines like British Airways had the monopoly.

I think one of the main gripes is that Ryanair are doing away with 10 of the routes previously operated by Buzz, and no Buzz flights will operate at all for the month of April. Ryanair are offering a refund, but I'm sure this is little compensation for those that had banked on those flights for their Easter holidays.

I don't remember BA compensating me or anyone else when they cancelled flights to Belfast, so I would be amazed if Ryanair were to do so.

Option 1 Buzz goes broke - nobody flies anywhere, nobody gets their money back

Option 2 Ryanair rescue Buzz - we all get refunds

I know which option I prefer

Personally I just hate the compainers - don't you remember how BA took advantage before Ryanair came along ? Can I have a refund on decades of BA overcharging ?
