Discover Card in Europe

Just a quick recheck, Discover Card is not accepted in Europe. Right?

Hi moldyhotelsaregross. I have heard that too but not sure as I don't have a Discover Card. I would think their website would indicate. If not call their 800# to find out for sure. Take care.

I have never had my Discover card accepted in Europe, always have to use Visa card. Guess they are just not up to date in that respect. Halfpint

Thanks for the input. I'm trying to convince a travelling companion to leave her Discover Card behind.

Tell her to leave it in a pile of cards with her library card and health club membership card. They will all be equally useless in Europe.

Discover Card is only valid in North America . . . . . .

I called Discover Card last summer, as I was going to give my card to my daughter as a back-up to her Visa on a trip to Europe, and Discover told me it is not accepted there.
