Credit/Debit Card Use

Chase issued me a one their new(ish) Blink Visa cards. It doesn't have a "Pulse" or other system logo on the back, so I called to make sure I could use it (in a crunch) to withdraw funds at an ATM in Germany. They assured me I could.

Just to play it safe, I thought I'd ask here: anyone have problems using these cards in ATMs in Germany or the Czech Republic?

Also, I have a Capital One debit card. It does have a "Pulse" logo on the back. Anyone used Capital One debit card successfully at German/Czech ATMs?

There is no network designation on the back of the Blink card. After noticing that, I called Chase to ask about its use in Europe. They said I didn't need a new card, that this card would work fine despite its not having network designations on the back. I was skeptical - or at least concerned - hence my post here.

I guess you'll be a pioneer ! Also try posting about it over on the Tripadvisor forums...
The FAQ says the card can be used in the standard terminals, so I guess that would equate to an ATM.

Your Capital One debit card - is that a Visa-branded card? That should work, no problems. Pulse is only for US, though, so is there another logo as well (ex. Cirrus is for M/C...)

Yeah, I may be blazing a trail with these things. ;-)

My CapOne debit card is a MasterCard type and only has "Pulse" listed on the back. Nothing is listed on the back of my "Blink" Chase Visa, though. My old Chase Visa card had both Pulse and Cirrus, IIRC.

I may call them both again tomorrow and ask once more. If I still don't feel comfortable, I may just ask them to send me a new non-Blink card. I don't think there's much I can do about the card from CapOne, but I may drop by and ask the local branch.
