Deciding between the Portofino area and Lake Como

I have three days left in my visit to Italy and I want to decide whether heading for the Portofino area or staying in any of the Lake Como towns like Bellagio. Which one would be more important? Give me some advice, please.

I went to both areas last march and i prefer the lake como area. I felt that there were more things to see and do. In terms of which one being more important, i guess it depends what your interests are but generally speaking there's more cultural and historical interests in Lake Como area.

Have never been to Lake Cuomo area, but spent two days at the end of our summer trip last year in Portofino. It's true there isn't a lot to see or do, but that was the point. It was a nice way to end the vacation, sitting on the beach soaking up the sun.

Hotel Belveder in Bellagio. Great town, beautiful setting, lots to see, eat and do. Would go back in a second! Loved it.
