Day trips from Granada and Sevilla

Have any of you taken day trips from Granada and Sevilla with companies or should we just try to take buses and trains and do it on our own?

an obvious choice would be Cordoba from Seville, which is about 25 mins by train.

Hi wonderer; Go to www.maribelsguides.com/ for great informaton on both Granada and Seville. We are already booked in April with one of her suggestions to do an all day tour of the 'white villages' outside of Seville. ENJOY Iris

I bellieve that from Granada you can visit two charming renaissance towns Ubeda and Baeza or may be only one of them. Those two cities have great walking tours of each town.Very inexpensive aprox 6-7 euros for each city they also offer a jumbo with a discount. I took them in Spanish but they might have them in English. everything is compact so it makes sense to visit those two great destinations by foot.

Last month, I took train from Sevilla to Cadiz(frequent train, 1 1/2 hours one way), Cadiz is one of the oldest seaport in Europe, very interesting old town.
