Curious about any Anti-Americanism

Wondering if anyone has experienced any Anti-Americanism on their recent trips abroad if so where?

I was in Italy when the Iraq war started and in France shortly thereafter. Not a trace of any anti-Americanism anywhere, though there were plenty of anti-war signs and graffiti, about the same as in the US. There have been a lot of threads on this lately with very few responses indicating that anyone had experienced problems.

Thank God. We haven't a post like this for at least 48 hours. Now I have something to do this weekend.

csroe,
There have been numerous posts about this recently - 7 in the past month, not counting the ones that were deleted.

May I be so bold as to ask you to do a search on the subject.

Type "anti american" (no hyphen) into the text box at the top of this page. You'll get over 50 threads on this subject, which overwhelmingly state that this subject is a virtual non-issue.

It is unfortunate that the US media has attempted to make it one.

csroe,
letting you know my wise-acre (G-rated) comments were not directed at you (or anyone else for that matter). It is just that this subject has been run into the ground, beaten, flogged and dragged through posts for the past six weeks. It is getting as old as Joan Rivers' facelifts.

I know I'm not doing any of us a favor by further lengthening this thread but in answer to the original question I would offer the reason there isn't any:
Because the Europeans aren't as stupid as we are!

I guess if none of us had responded to this, then the answer would have been obvious.

Please forgive the question! I'm a newcomer and didn't "search" as I should have but WILL do in the future. I'm a newcomer to this forum and didn't use the brain God did give me. And to maitaitom, no offense taken.

"I'm a newcomer"

Welcome. Now you can become a Fodor's addict just like the rest of us. By the way...there is no cure.
