I think it's about 11 days until DW and I head for London on Apr 6! 3rd trip to the UK Capital, and I've been planning and planning...
There are so many things we didn't do the first two times; the London Eye. The Whispering Gallery at St Paul's. The Changing of the Guard. National Portrait Gallery. A West End show.
For a change, we're staying at a 5-star Mayfair hotel. I think that's the thing I'm most apprehensive about: what if it's a total let-down? TripAdvisor users give mixed reviews of all those hotels...

What a great thread! It is so exciting to read all these great itineraries.
DH and I are poring over travel books, trying to decide on an itinerary for this summer. We know we must hit our favorites: Venice and Florence (this will be my 4th, his 3rd visit), but feel like we should broaden our horizons a bit...so we've looked into Geneva, the Loire Valley, Amsterdam. I know they're a bit far-flung to include in a 2 week trip. Any suggestions on a great destination to add to Florence & Venice (we've already visited Rome, and love it but we'd like one new place).

CyberT - why not Lake Como, or, the Dolomites? They are each a lot closer and if you've not been, you'll be charmed immediately and want to make it an annual thing (I can say that with certainty about Lake Como, having visited last May. The Dolomites are a new destination but I just have a feeling.... )

Hello, Now only 10 days until I head back to Paris. I will start my extended stay. I will be in an apartment near Bastille for at least two months and a week in Ireland in June.
I was having "nerves" for the last few weeks but talked to my "honey"
today and all is wonderful!!
