Two months -- less two days -- until we leave for Amsterdam, a short cruise through tulip country to Antwerp, a few days for museum hopping in Belgium, then on to London for three weeks. Second trip to the Netherlands, second trip to Belgium, 14th or 15th to London, I've lost track. Am I prepared? Of course not. I do tickets and room reservations early, then everything else at the last minute. It seems to work for us.

Wow, I'm under 100 days to my next trip - I didn't realize I passed that already.

Heading to Munich to pick up a new BMW through their wonderful Euro-Delivery plan in late May - then 16 nights touring through the Alps in it. I plan to visit Berchtesgaden again... drive the Grossglockner... visit the Dolomites for a few nights.. back to Lake Como... up into Switzerland... over to Mont Blanc... back through Switzerland and back to Munich for the dropoff.

This thread sure has legs - it's almost 2 years old now!

I wonder how many times I've responded to this post? Always fun to read where everyone is headed to!

We are going back to Germany and Austria come April. We also just purchased tickets for Costa Rica last night and will be headed there over Labor Day weekend in August/September.

I leave in 17 days for London and Rome. I will be spending 6 days in London and 1 in Rome.

Ready...I think so. This is my second time, so I am a bit more prepared this time.

Second time to London, first to Rome. I am excited for the whole thing and can't really single out one thing I am really excited for, except for the Colosseum in Rome.

I'm very blessed...I'm going to Tuscany and Umbria on March 7 for 2 and 1/2 weeks, and then to Amsterdam, Bruges, Paris and Provence for 5 weeks in September!!! In Amsterdam and Bruges both hotels overlook canals, in Paris we're renting an apartment for a week on the rue Cler, and in Provence we're renting a house in the Lubéron. I'm ready, although when I booked I didn't anticipate such a bad economic situation. However, you only live once! I'm looking forward to EVERYTHING!!!

We leave in 29 days on our first trip to Ireland! We will fly into Dublin, spend 2 days -- I already have Dublin passes and hop on hop off tour bus tickets for the first day. We take the train to Cork the next day to meet my nephew and his family and the bus to Killarney for 3 days. Instead of buying round trip tickets, we'll buy one way, as we're flying back to Dublin from Kerry Airport. Our last night I've made reservations for the Dublin Musical Pub Crawl, so that should be fun We head back home the next day. We don't plan on eating in a lot of restaurants, so only made a couple of reservations -- for Easter week-end. I still have to book tickets for the train trip to Cork, but that's about it. I even ordered transportation passes online. I'm sure I'll think of something I forgot to do, but haven't yet.

Yes, yes only 47 days now until I return to Paris to find out if I am still in love. In love with Paris, always and forever.. but the man, I will have to see if this remains true after my period away to clear my head. My head is clear but my heart is still in love. Time will tell.

Very happy travels to all,

My wife leaves her walk on the Camino at the end of April. I will meet her at the end in July in Santiago de Compostela but not before spending a week in Paris.

In 2009 we are off to Madagascar.

"Where is your NEXT trip and how many days until you leave?

**5 more sleeps til we leave for our trip to Italy (Rome, Florence, Venice and Pompeii)29Feb - 8Mar and Cairo (and Alexandria)8 Mar - 12 Mar. I'm so excited I can barely sit still and mention it to everyone who speaks to me lately!***

Are you ready (I know we are all READY but are you prepared?)

***I believe we're almost there. Everything is prepaid that we can, we have a few more places to make reservations for. There's more time for wandering around than on any trip before, but I think for Rome that's a good think. Thanks to all the Fodorites for all their advice and trip reports.***

Is this a first time, second time, and so on?

***My first trip to both Italy and Egypt. Mom has been to both before - Italy in 1970 and Egypt in the early 90s. We've both traveled fairly extensively elsewhere.***

What are you most looking forward to doing or seeing?"

*** Gelato, Great Food, Sistine Chapel, Ancient History, Pyramids and Sphinx, seeing places I haven't been before but that I know a lot about! ***

Great Questions - thanks for thread!

82 1/2 hours until I depart for my first trip to Germany (4 nights in Munich and 1 in Frankfurt.

And 226 day until 4 nights in Amsterdam (3 at the begining and 1 at the end). I just need to do with the 9 nights inbetween.

And the best part, I am using FF miles for the first time for a free flight!!!
