Copenhagen - quick trips

Hello - my hubby and I are celebrating our 25th anniversary in August and will be flying to Copenhagen a few days prior to our Baltic Cruise with Princess and for one night when we return. I have read that we could see a lot of Copenhagen in a day which we will probably do when we finish the cruise. Does anyone have ideas on what interesting reasonable side trip we could take prior to the cruise? Also, any recommendations on a reasonable b&b or hotel would be very much appreciated. Thanks!

Personally, I would try and find a hotel near Nyhavn area as that is close to the "thick of things". Check out the Hotel Maritim near there-my daughter and I stayed there two years ago and it was within walking distance of everything and very reasonable.
Going to Tivoli for dinner and walking around the park along with sitting out in Nyhavn on the water having a beer and salmon are some of the reasons you really don't need a side trip.

Hi A,

Two very interesting daytrips are:

and the Viking Ship Museum and the Cathedral in Roskilde.

I agree. Tivoli was a wonderful evening. And the restaurants in Nyhavn were a terrific experience. Have a great trip!

I second the ship museum. Any beer drinkers? The Carlsberg brewery tour is must.
