Copenhagen/City Center Hotel
Any recommendations for a hotel in Copenhagen city enter area; mid Feb. travel? Have looked into the Admiral and Strand. Strand includes breakfast, Admiral does not. Both in the US$150-160 range(internet rates).
Also, any recommendations for travel/reservation sites for better hotel rates? I've looked at several of the old standbys, but all have virtually the same rates.....
Thanks all!!!

Try this site for Copenhagen hotels:
http://www.copenhagen-hotels.se/
Try hotelscombined.com which will also bring up gtahotels.com .
I suggest looking for Hotel 27 (perfect location, and I stayed there before its renovation).

The Admiral is in a very good location and being an old converted warehouse has plenty of character. Some cannot cope with the character however since it means some of the rooms have odd shapes.
Many have recommended the Square, I've not stayed there myself but have passed it many times and the location is excellent.
Alternatively, less expensive options are available outside the city centre, with good public transport links eg

I've used hotels.com couple times.

We stayed here a year or so ago, it is simple but clean, fantastic breakfast and only steps to the central train station.

I booked directly with the hotel.

Hotel The Square, I doubt you can beat the location.
The Hotel The Square is on the Rådhuspladsen (The Town Square) From there you can walk to Tivoli Gardens, to the New Carlsberg Glyptotek, along HC Anderson BL to the water and the whole Stroget all the way to Nyhaven. I even walked to the train station to get to the airport.
