My husband and I will be in Venice for 3 days in mid October. We have been before ,so are looking to try something new - a cooking class. I have looked on line, but all the classes are very pricey. Does anyone know of a class - half day,full day or evening - that is reasonably priced? Thanks

Please state what price you think is reasonable. We have no idea what price you considered "pricey."

I have been fortunate to have been engaged as a hostess for a private food and wine tour company.
While our sites did not take us to Venice, we offered Rome, Tuscany, and the Amalfi Coast as our venues.
The average fee per cooking class was around $150.00 to $200.00 and it always included wine with the meal that was prepared. In some instances, a visit to the local market was included with the class. These classes usually lasted an average of 3 hours depending on the instructor's personality, the conversation, the amateur "chefs", and the amount of wine consummed!
To have participated in such experiences has provided me with memories and cooking and kitchen skills that I shall cherish forever and still practice today.
If you have the extra time, and the price is reasonable for you, I would tell you to go for it. You will not regret it.

I can heartily endorse Enrica Rocca, as mentioned in ekscrunchy's link above. I don't like cooking, but my sister in law (good and avid cook), coaxed me into an afternoon class. What a great experience, with a bubbly Venetian woman.

I would like to find a class under $200USD - most of the ones I saw were over 200 euro. Thanks for the suggestion, ekscrunchy and YvonneT.

$200US sounds very cheap; you might find a market tour for that much.
