Connection Time Question - Flight Arriving in CDG to TGV from CDG?
Thinking of taking an 8:20am train to Lyon and our flight lands at 6:10 am. We likely will check luggage and are flying from Boston. Do you think this leaves us enough time? I am not familiar with the TGV set up in the airport. Also, we are buying our plane/train tickets together so I think we have to pick them up at the station. This is a combo Air France ticket so I am wondering if we miss the train because the flight was late whether AF would put us on the next train. Thanks

Is this the 08:21 TGV 5110 (arr. Lyon Pard-Dieu 10:31)?
That should work, you're ahead of the bulk of the morning arrivals. Passport check should not take too long, but in CDG all bets are off, it can be slow for no obvious reason. Still, I would go for it.

If you are buying the Air-Rail combo, the rail company should let you take the next train if your flight was delayed.
Once you get to the CDG TGV station, you need to look for the TGVAIR counter/line, which is next to the regular ticket area. That's where you exchange your flight coupon for the rail ticket.

What terminal are you flying into? If you're arriving at aérogare 1, you'll have to transfer by shuttle. IME, "landing" at CDG and actually finding yourself at the terminal are two different things - I've sat on the runway there for a half-hour or more. Then it can be another 30-45 minutes before you see your baggage. Then, if you have to change terminals, that's another 45 minutes, possibly. So allow yourself plenty of time. If you're arriving at aérogare 2, where the TGV station is located, it shouldn't be a problem.

Well why not ask Air France about this to be sure and get it in writing?
