If you are asking about geetika's comment re wheelchair assistance . . . Immigration makes no difference. If you are using wheelchair assistance the attendant stays with you through the entire process and takes you to your departure gate.

Yes, this was on international flights. You still need to go through passport control, but the wheelchair gets you through quickly without waiting in line. Of course our mom was in her late seventies, almost eighty when she started availing of this facility. One time she was waiting for her connecting flight at Frankfurt without realizing the gate had been changed. She then had to scramble at the last moment and was in a tizzy by the time she boarded, which is when we decided she needed assistance.

As I said earlier don’t know the OP’s age and if this option will work for her/him.

Thank you! All of this is so helpful and reassuring. I wouldn’t be as concerned if it wasn’t a night flight. I really appreciate you all!!

I followed ms_go’s instructions and did it in15 minutes. Thank you! Airport is very quiet. You’d think it was midnight. It’s not even 7pm.

It’s bustling! I was here, same week…four years ago. So many more tourists now. Covid rebound travel is real! But it is beautiful and I’m happy to be here. And headed other destinations south.

I'm glad the directions were helpful and that you had an easy connection. As Star Alliance folks, we transit through Munich and Frankfurt fairly often. I'll take Munich any day. If you'd asked about directions at Frankfurt, I wouldn't have been able to provide anything nearly that specific, as you never know what to expect there.
