Colosseum Underground Tours
We will be in Italy mid-September and would like to take one of the new underground Colosseum tours. It is my understanding that you can book them through Pierreci Cultural Center (via Omni Ticket), however they show no tours after August 31 and have told me they are not sure if tours will be offered. I do find tours through tickitaly.com and they claim they will be giving tours through September. Their tours are more expensive and I don't know anything about the company. Does anyone know anything about the underground tours? Thank you.

I just booked a tour for Sept 7th at 9:40am by calling directly. It took a few tries but I was able to get thru and had a very helpful English speaking person assist me. There were plenty of times available for the day I wanted. Price was 19E with Roma card for two. The number has been posted in a few other tags but I will see if I can locate it and write back. Hope this helps

I've had no luck with the website but now have confidence I might get tickets if I call up (I have this Friday off so can try then assuming their office is a weekday setup)
For those who have been lucky to get an underground tour do they have several times available? and where do go to commence the tour?

I posted here about my successful experience calling Pierreci directly to book for late September:

Astronaut, I believe the times for English tours are 9:40am, 12:20pm, 1pm, 3pm, and 4:20pm.

We took the underground tour this July and purchased the tickets from tickitaly. Had no problem whatsover. They suggest that you arrive at the Colluseum 1/2 hour early to pickup the actual ticket. I would strongly suggest the same. The advance ticket window had about a 10 minute wait once you found it as compared to the 2.5 hour wait people without tickets had to endure. We've been to the VColleseum 3-4 times before and this added a new perspective. Enjoy
