college football in paris

i am going to paris next week over the thanksgiving weekend. i am a notre dame alum and really would like to watch the notre dame USC game on saturday night on ABC. is there anywhere in paris that might carry this game live on TV? Since the game is at night in the USA, i may be out of ouck since it would be on in the middle of the night but any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

Personally, I think it's doubtful.... I know it's not the same, but maybe record it while you're away..?

If it is on a channel your hotel carries, otherwise, no.

I really doubt if you will find college football (even Notre Dame)in Europe. We were in London during the Superbowl one year when our hometown team was playing, and had one heck of a time finding a bar/pub that carried the game.

It's not as bad as some seem to think. I'm in Dublin right now and I just found a pub that will be showing Bears-Jets game on Sunday at 6pm local time.

Do a Google for college football, tv, Paris, pubs/bars, Notre Dame or some combination of it and you possibly can find a spot.

Have a great trip and I hope ND lose!!!

Maybe you can get the ESPN comments from Chris Fowler, Kurt Herbstreet and Lee Corso after the game. Then you can hear alllllllllll the way from Europe how a 2 loss Notre Dame should be in the National championship game. <<<Sarcasm in check>>>>>>>

Anyway, I remember being in Germany in 1990 when Tennessee and Auburn played a big game( SEC=Big games) and the game was shown on a big screen TV down in the TV room. To this day I dunno how they got the game, but there it was, in glorious Orange and white color of the Tennessee and Auburn game.

Best way to get the games of any college football game is for your hotel to have a high speed connection to the internet. Go to Yahoo's main page. Then click on sports and college fotball game. Find the Notre Dame game and click on that. You can follow the game from Yahoo's web site. How do I know this? I did just that in Grindlewald, Switzerland this last September when Tennessee played Florida. I was up until 5 in the morning following the game. No, it is not as good as watching the game on TV, but it is better than nothing.

I cannot believe a true ND fan would allow themselves to leave the US during football season. What IS the world coming to? Are there no standards?

You mean the school that has it's own network (NBC) can not have it's games shown on telivision in Europe? (keeping saracaam in check)

Someone mentioned USC. Why is it that USC gets credit for winning 2 National championships by the HOMER Big 10-Pac 10 media.

USC won the National championship in 2004 by thrashing Oklahoma.

LSU won the 2003 BCS game by thrashing Oklahoma 27-10. Yet the sports media gives that championship to USC. Hmmnnn?.

LSU , NOT USC, won the 2003 BCS National Championship game.

Anyway, I guess I'll be watching the game next Saturday night on ABC.
