What is more beautiful...cliffs of Moher or Killarney national park?

I've been to both many times, and I will tell you. - Impossible answer!

However, I will tell you which takes longer - Killarney National Park! The Cliffs are impressive, magnificent, and awe-inspiring... but after about a half hour, you can move on. The Killarney National Park has so many parts to explore, it can take you days if you want.

My favorite was the Gap of Dunloe, but all were wonderful in their own way.

Difficult qns since they are very different types of attractions. One is sheer steep cliffs plunching into the ocean the other is a national park with a variety of attractions includig muckross house, torc waterfall etc. I would pick the cliffs for their dramatic beauty.

And in Killarney NP there is the Traditional Farm, and Deenagh Lodge for a lunch or snack. St. Mary's Cathedral right across the street also.

If weather cooperates the boat trip from Doolin to the Cliffs is my favorite way to see them.

Why not go and make up your own mind?

The Cliffs, but cycling through the Gap of Dunloe is a lot of fun.

Usual misconception is that all west Clare has to offer is 1/2 mile of Cliff and a "moonscape".

Point is that the cliffs are 5 miles long and can be walked from Doolin to Hags head if bold enough. Weather plays its part being up against the Atlantic the Cliffs get a bit of everything and anything thrown at them so maybe avoid in winter?

If the Cliffs of Moher visitors complex is a little busy then there are a number of other options from Monasteries and Abbeys to Caves and Dolmens with things like a Smoke House or Perfumery to visit if you are not watching Sheep dog demonstrations or taking a Hawk for a walk.

Yes the best way to get a perspective of the Cliffs is from the sea if the conditions are right and better still taking a combi cruise and exploring a little of Inis Oirr the closest Aran Isle to the highly over rated Doolin.

Killarney and the National Park also have lots to offer and better at the ends of the season due to being less weather dependant.

Tony makes an excellent point. There is a lot more to see in Clare than the cliffs. I stayed in Ennis for three nights on one trip, and Ballyvaughan for three nights another trip, and still haven't managed to see all I want to of Clare. It's gorgeous!
