We will be in Salzburg for 3 days in early June. We would like to experience some classical music. There appear to be a number of venues and events geared to tourists. Afternoon concerts at Residenzeplatz, Dinner Concerts, Mirabell Palace Concerts . Any suggestions? Second question is required attire. Our trip is primarily hiking and cycling so we won't have dress clothes. Thank you.

We have been to the classical concert at Hohensalzburg Fortress at night. We loved it! It was in the Golden Hall there. We are going back to Salzburg in September and plan to go to another concert. You could probably wear business casual and it would be fine. The website where you purchase tickets may have more information on the dress code.
