Hello nonnafelice, I have so enjoyed your trip report! Thank you for sharing with us your time in Italy.
I was interested in your comments regarding Asolo. I know it it considered a wonderful place to visit but as I said early the week started in a bad way, it rained constantly the whole week, I just could not related to Asolo which was so surprising to me as I love everywhere else in Italy from the large cities to the smallest villages. I don't want to go into any more details as I know that Fodor's ends up on Google, but I found Asolo a "strange place". Best wishes to you.

I really enjoyed your trip report- a year later! We are staying at Villa Mocenigo after five days in Venice. Do you have any suggestions for how to get there from Piazzale Roma in Venice?
We are looking forward to eating dinner there, too.

I'm glad you enjoyed my report, and I hope you have a great stay at Villa Mocenigo! To get there from Venice, what I would suggest is to put the route request into Via Michelin and ask it to take you by way of Spinea. That will bring you into Mirano (where the villa is) by way of the main road through town -- and also take you past that great cantina with the wine pumps!
Anyway, if you come into town that way (from the north of the villa), you will have only one left turn off the main road to get to Villa Mocenigo. (The turn is near the bus station.) When we came from the south, there were a lot of twists and turns after we left the highway, which got us pretty confused.
