Christmas concert tickets in Paris

My wife and I will be in Paris from December 19, 2008 thru December 26. I am trying to find a way to buy tickets to a concert at Sainte Chapelle during that time.I can't find any info on this or other Christmas concerts.I am looking for calendar of events to enjoy the music of the spirit of the season.I think we will attend midnight mass at Notre Dame.We would like to hear some Xmas music elseware too. Please advise on ways to find information.

I didn't have much luck with that, either. The Paris Tourist Info website may list some Christmas events eventually in their "fetes" section, but they do not right now. I don't think there is any concert at Ste Chapelle during those times, they sometimes don't have them for some weeks at a time at that place, I think they use it for other things. I didn't find anything special listed on general ticket websites, either, except for children's things.

However, I did find out from the overall Catholic church website for Paris that there is a free Christmas concert at Notre Dame on Saturday, 12/20 at 8:30 pm. Becuase it is free, there are no tickets, so you can bet you'd have to get there very early. There may be other things you can find later on, such as on the tourist website www.parisinfo.com

One of the concert/musical groups that does perform at Ste Chapelle fairly often does have some Christmas concerts at St Emphrem's, so that's a possibility. I think that was www.ampconcerts.com

This group also has some Christmas concerts you can find on their calendar at St Germain des Pres and Eglise des Billettes

Thank you so much for your advice. Someone on another blog recomended buying a news magazine by the name "Pariscope". it has a list of events in the area.I do so want to make this trip special. I like to plan it all in advance. Perhaps I need to be more spontaneous.I also found a place called the American Catheral. And a friend has recommended the Jesuit Church Too.I am hopeful to find the perfect venue for our Christmas time in Paris. Thanks again for your help!

I spent Christmas in Paris in 2000. Arrived around the same time you did and went to the Virgin MegaStore on Champs Elyessess (or however you spell it ) and found several concerts advertised there and was able to buy tickets to a lovely Russian Chorale concert on Christmas Day in the late afternoon at the church on Isle St. Louis. Magical.

I spoke with my wife and we decided we really like the idea of the Notre Dame concert on the 20th of December. We hope the biggest will be the best. A friend told me that there are kiosks where you can buy tickets as you get close to the day of the event. Maybe they are in the shopping area where the virgin mega store is. Keep the ideas coming. I need all the help I can get.I am truly gratified that there still kind people in the world willing to help. I live in New Orleans if yall have any questions about Nawlins don't hesitate to asks. Thanks again!

Various ticket websites sell tickets to concerts at Sainte-Chapelle, that isn't really a problem. www.fnac.com does, for example, and they also sell tickets to the building itself.

I could have given you various ticket websites, but you said you were looking for a Christmas concert specifically and there aren't any listed now at Sainte Chapelle so I didn't give you ticket websites for that. Aside from fnac, www.ticketnet.com also sells tickets to that venue.
