Try www.whichbudget.com It will show you links to all the cheapest fares to and from anywhere in the world. it's fantastic! this is what my friends and I have been using.
I'm using this now for my trip this May to Europe. When i compared rates in other websites, whichbudget.com still comes out much cheaper. For example, I was able to buy air fare tickets from Madrid to Paris at 30E. (compared to kayak.com, cheapest is 66E.. )

Well, why don't you go to Mexico, but go somewhere besides Cancun? What you describe is true of that one single small resort area, but hardly true of the entire country, which is huge and diverse. Why not research about that area on the Yucatan peninsula outside Cancun (rent a car and go to Merida, or Tulum and Akumal, visit the ruins, even Playa del Carmen or Isla Mujeres).
I doubt you can fly to Argentina for less than $800 either, can you?
