Cheap New Year's Eve in Paris!

I'm looking for something, ANYTHING cheap to do for NYE in Paris. I'm not a big fan of standing out in the cold to ring in the new year, I'm from NY and I don't even do that here! I just want someplace warm and dry, maybe a meal and some music, nothing fancy and NOTHING over 120 Euro which is about 175 dollars. HELP!

The old traditional Polidor's restaurant on the Left Bank has a New Year's eve special meal for about 40 euro/person, judging by our experience a couple of years ago. I was checking on hours for New years Day, and so cannot comment personally, but some folks were reserving in person only 24 hours beforehand. I like it very much for a casual dinner, and so would give it a try myself if the occasion ever presents itself.

Forgot to mention that there were two sittings: one about 7 PM for folks with somewhere to go later, and one around 10:30 PM for those who wanted to be dining indoors at midnight, I expect.

Thank you! I just e-mailed them and inquired. The menu looks fantastic!

cammiecam - My Pauper's Paris 1997 edition says this about Le Polidor:

Polidor is really Vieux Paris, extremely poular and usually packed.
Le Polidor has been around since 1845, but with its elegant decor of mirrors, lamps, chairs, the feeling is that of a 1930's film set.
The establishment has many delightful quirks, such as the huge bottle of champagne displayed all year long, then opened with a bang on New Year's Eve.
The diningroom has beautiful old floor tiles, and little drawers where napkins of long-gone patrons were kept for them.
The courtyard toilettes are a` la Turque and ancient, be warned!
