Not knowing your age or tastes, I'd suggest getting phone numbers from Fodor's restaurants section for brasseries (like Julien's, Bofinger, etc) and try to make a reservation ASAP. They are fun, lively, the food is good, and I'd guess New Years Eve is particularly festive. You may be too late to get a reservation, but it is worth trying...

I just did a search on New Years Eve for "france" and came up with 42 threads. If you try that you will come up with loads of tips.
