Cheap Hotels

I will be traveling in Europe in April 2009 for one month. Does anyone happen to know some inexpensive hotels for less then $100.00 US or 69.00 EUR in the following cities. Frankfurt, Germany, Paris, France, Rome, Italy and Munich, Germany. Any suggestions would be appreicated.

In Paris, in the Gobelins Mouffetard district at Place d'Italie (this is one district South of the Latin Quarter), the Hotel des Arts: http://www.escapade-paris.com/en/hot...hotel&id=2. 69 to 80 euros depending on the season. It is rated in the Michelin Red Guide as well: http://www.viamichelin.co.uk/viamich...Hotel_Des_Arts

Have you looked into convents in Italy? They're usually simple and you may have to share a bath but the rates are usually good and they're certainly clean.

Try checking out the Holiday Inn Expresses in Germany. They are very reasonable and includes a free breakfast. We were there in March and really enjoyed them. Good luck! Jennifer

We travel through Europe and other places using hostelworld.com. Untick hostels and tick budget hotels. We have had some really lovely rooms - all small but fresh, clean and often newly decorated

In Paris, I have gotten good inexpensive, central hotels from these sites:
www.hrs.de
www.accorhotels.com
Also check www.hotelscombined.com .

In Frankfurt, Hotel Excelsior is a great bargain, if you get it at the same 69-Euro rate we did. Unbelievable free breakfast, free newspapers, free local calls, free Internet, and right across from the train station.

Rome - Hotel Julia, single economical room might work for you.

I don't know how long you'll be in each place from your post, but consider getting an apartment or flat in each place. This will likely bring you within budget without being in a hotel that entire time.

Good luck!

I've never used this site, but it looks like it might be useful:

Try venere.com and a Rough Guide or Lonely Planet guidebook.
