Chartes & Versailles In One Day
I've been working on my itinerary and was wondering if it's possiblt to see Chatres and Versailles in one day, since I'm trying to squeeze as much of France as possible in twelve days. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi.
"Possible" but not a good idea; you'd be cheating yourself at both places. The palace alone at Versailles is worth at least a couple of hours, but then you should also roam the grounds and head to the Trianons.
You also have to get there and back...and you'll need a break for lunch (the food at the basement cafeteria is shockingly good).
Skimp elsewhere, but don't deny yourself a full day for Versailles...there is no place else like it.
You're welcome.

to appreciate the cathedral at Chartres you need a sunny afternoon to light the windows--they are high up. don't press yourself to notch the greatest number if sights on a tallystick--relax and enjoy
