CDG - NCE Flight -- AF & Easy Jet -- Any Other Airlines?
I am hoping to fly to Nice after arriving in CDG @ 7:45 a.m on a Saturday. So far, it's a challenge. AF doesn't have anything until 4:00 or so unless we bus to Orly. Easy Jet (what GREAT prices!) has only one in the morning 8:40 -- way too early for us.
Are there any other airlines that I should check? I hadn't heard about Easy Jet until reading the threads here.
Assuming I do have to go to Orly, about how much time should I allow? There are flights at 11:00, 11:30, noon and so on. Think the 11:30 would work? It seems the actual transport time would be about an hour, based on what I've read here....?
I saw that a taxi would cost about $60. Is this about right?
Thanks.

Thanks, Rex.
rkkwan, I think I was missing the CDG-NCE mid-morning flights because flights were listed according to price. The price jumps from 58E to 350E for the flight that would work best!
I guess I have to decide if it is worth busing to Orly to get a flight 2 hours earlier or just wait for the 1:30 flight....
If we do decide to bus to Orly, would the 11:30 allow enough time for a 7:45 arrival at CDG?

I fly to Paris alot and I think that that would be a tight connection between airports during rush hour. There are some weeks that it actually takes us 20-25 minutes of taxiing to get parked at our gate or remote pad-CDG is huge!By the time, you get off the plane and clear customs/immigration and get your bags and hail a cab,etc.-the seconds are ticking. It usually takes us a good hour(even on weekends) for our crew van from pickup into the city and we are on the closer side than Orly.I would do the connecting flight an hour later or fly the nonstops from the USA to Nice instead.

Hi ...
Have you thought about going by train ... the TGV is very quick
There is a train that leaves from the airport at 11:40 & gets to Nice at 18:00 - well ok not that quick - but 2nd class was £55 one way - might be worth looking at.

I sure wouldn't go to Orly just to get a flight two hours earlier. Getting to Orly alone will take about 45-60 minutes. Instead of going to that trouble, and worrying about making it, wouldn't it be better to just take your time and relax at CDG? What if your plane is a little late or the immigration line a little long? If you have a flight at CDG two hours later, you won't be sweating it.
A taxi might be around $60, sounds about right, but you might as well take the Air France bus if you want to go to Orly, it's a lot cheaper and they know that route well.
I don't see the point in going by train as you'll get to Nice a lot later than by flying.
