CDG Meeting spot
My sister and I will be arriving at CDG about one hour apart (arriving from different cities; different airlines). We are trying to figure out where to meet once we have our luggage. Any suggestions?

If you're both flying into Aérogare 1, I'd meet right at Porte (Door) 34, which is usually where you exit from the baggage area anyway. There's a huge information desk there.
If you're both flying into Aérogare 2, I'd suggest you meet at Door 7, which is where the taxi stand is (you can easily follow the signs, as the word is "taxi" in French as well.
If you're coming into different terminals, one of you will need to take the shuttle to meet the other.

Looks like we'll both be landing in Terminal 2 (she's on American; I'm on Air France). From what I've now read, Terminal 2 is quite big. My preference is to get my baggage (I arrive an hour earlier than she does) and go and sit somewhere (cafe, McDonalds, whatever). Any suggestions?

If you are both landing in Terminal, there is only one baggage area for all flights coming into terminal 2. (There are numerous carosels, mabye a dozen.) After you collect your bags, you will exit the baggage area (i.e. go past customs)and you will enter the huge two story area that is the main arrivals hall. Look to your right and you will see a small cafe maybe 10 yards away. You can sit here and wait. Directly above the exit doors from baggage clain/customs is a huge board with flight numbers, you can meet under that.
Alternatively, if her flight is really only one hour behind, you could stay in the baggage claim area after you get your bags, and when her flight arrives, find the carosel where the baggage from her flight is being deposited, and wait for her there. You can then exit the baggage area (ie. through customs) together.
Go to worldairportguide.com for information on CDG and links to their site which includes a printable map.
