CDG: how to get from terminal 2 (AA) to terminal 1 (United) arrivals?

Hi - I am only familiar enough with CDG to know that I find it very confusing. I am arriving ahead of a friend and need to meet her flight (United airlines, terminal 1 I believe). I have only connected within terminal two for departures in the past. Can anyone help with the best way to get from Terminal 2 to Terminal 1 (arrivals)? thank you!

Have you looked at the airport map? The signage has improved a bit, I felt, at least the last two times I was there this year.

The free CDGVal rail shuttle connects the terminals.

There is no reason to find CDG confusing unless you are unable to read signs.

I would advise meeting her at the door for taxi queue in X terminal. The chances of you missing one another are large, in my opinion.
Have a back up plan for sure.

Aeroport management provides a number of maps at this address http://www.aeroportsdeparis.fr/ADP/e...eur-synomia_gb
You can click on the various terminal names to get blow-ups of the plans, which you might print out and take along to help your pathfinding.
In the upper left is a button to click -- "Guide for connection flights" -- that lets you specify your arrival terminal and where you are bound. Combine the two and you can find some rather slender advice on your route.
Here's what helps me: Take a deep breath when your feet are on the ground, then convince yourself you can do it (millions do.) While complex, CdG is easy enough to navigate if you stay calm.

There is a very clearly indicated "<i>point de rendez-vouz</i>" on the Terminal 1 arrivals level.

That was rendez-vous, of course.

Thanks everyone. I did find myself going in circles a few years ago at CDG on departure and the signage was confusing to me (perhaps I am too easily confused ... it does seem rather straightforward). We have a relatively short time in Paris and I don't want to waste half an hour chasing around the airport!
