CDG meeting place

Hi everyone,
I have a question about a meeting place with a slightly different angle. A host family is meeting my son at CDG. He is flying AA, so I assume he'll land in Term. 2, but will have to go through customs. Where would be the best place for the host family to meet him? Q2: He will be returning via British Air - do they use Term. 1? Q3: Suggestion for inexpensive hotel on airport grounds that uses shuttle?
Thanks!

Jill,

1) Your son's AA flight will arrive at terminal 2A. His host family will be waiting for him right outside of customs - there's only one "meet and greet" area in the terminal, so don't worry.

2) BA does indeed use terminal 1.

3) Your best budget lodging option at CDG is the Ibis at Roissypole, located right in the center of the airport grounds, adjacent to the RER train station. Book on:
www.accorhotels.com
Hotel code (you can enter it directly on the home page to avoid a lengthy search) is: 1404

Hope this helps,
Andre

OOPS!!!

Just double-checked and BA now uses terminal 2B, NOT terminal 1!

Sorry for the confusion, this must have been a pretty recent change.

On my first trip to Paris someone who I did not know met me just as I came out of customs. He was holding a sign with my name on it. There was no problem.
