Carry ons to Europe
I would like to know if there is a web page that will tell me what I can carry on (or better yet, what I can not carry on) an international flight from Washington Dulles to Amsterdam. I typically bring a laptop PC and a IPOD.

What you can carry on the plane depends on your airline and the airport into which you are flying and/or connecting in Europe. You need to check the web site of your airline to get that information. For example, you cannot carry an ipod onto a flight to Brussels, though you can carry a laptop. You can carry both to either France or the UK.

And best you also check the size of the carry-on that is allowed. Most airlines were 45 inches overall, but British Security now has a carry-on restriction to about 37 inches overall. So if you come back through London, those rules will apply.

The British carryon is a maximum of 45x35x16cm - not 37" overall. If your bag was 12x12x13" it WOULDN'T be accepted as hand luggage

Perhaps I'm reading things wrongly, and if so, someone will no doubt correct me, but I can find no reference in either the BRU airport site, nor in the United Airlines site to such an "Ipod" restrictiion. FYI
Best, Dave

I dont travel light and i have a sweet tooth.

In reference to my earlier post about not being able to carry an ipod on a plane trip to Belgium, the rules have been relaxed sine then. It's very important that you check the most current regulations regarding travel to whatever country you are traveling to. The best resource is your own airline. Most airlines are being very good about informing passengers of restrictions on flights.
