Can you bring disposable cameras in you carry on?

Where are you leaving from, where are you going to, what airline(s)?

I do know you should not put them in checked luggage because the x ray is stronger than the one for carry-on and I have read that it will spoil the film.

I don't think there ever was an issue with disposable cameras. I have carried them often, both in checked luggage and carry-on. I have never had a problem with the film and x-ray.

Not if it's gel- or liquid-powered.

I'm confused.

Liquids and gels are verbotten, but solids are allowed, correct?

Following that logic, is solid H20 allowed?

I can imagine quite easily converting all of my liquids and gels to solid form for boarding purposes. What happens to them after that, in the warm air of the airplane cabin would be out of my control.
